This will be the last edition of the Shaw Sheet until 2 September when, deo volente, the team will be back, refreshed from their summer break. By then things will hopefully have moved on, allowing commentary to focus more heavily on some of the issues which have been drowned out by the pandemic: the environment, the opportunity gap, levelling up, reforming the economy, whether cheese should come before the dessert or the other way round, and lots more besides. We are always looking for articles, and particularly articles packed with ideas which reveal or suggest something of interest to the reader. So whether you get away or are taking your holiday in a deckchair in your own backyard, think of the areas in which you are expert, or have something interesting or perceptive to say, put your ideas into an article and email it to the editors at [email protected].
The world is waking up. It is for you to help it to pick the right direction.
