Letter to the Editors

Dear Sirs

I read Lynda Goetz’s article on greening the planet (“The Future” , Issue 263) with interest. I agree with much of what she said, however my concern is that green progress is not even thought about in Uganda where our charity, 3H, works. The priorities for us reflect the lives of the locals and are providing enough food, followed by education and some healthcare. Much of our money is to help people who are quite literally starving.  We try not to dwell on it in our website https://www.3huganda.org/

Are we in the first world willing to make sacrifices, to help the poor?  Sadly with a government reducing aid by 30%.  I, for one, do not think we are.
